Your Guide to Rakuten Optimism 2019

At long last, Optimism 2019 has arrived.

Right now, you’re either in San Francisco for the event, on your way, or wishing you were one of the 2,500 professionals who will be joining us at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on Wednesday. If you’re local, there’s still time to register!

The fun officially gets started at 8 am on Wednesday morning with breakfast and carries through until 9 pm when Usher’s concert wraps up. It’s a day that’s going to be jam packed full of presentations from high profile speakers and networking opportunities that give you the opportunity to connect with thousands of other accomplished digital marketing professionals capped off by a performance by one of the most accomplished recording artists of our time.

Where: Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, 99 Grove Street, located just steps from City Hall. Ride share dropoff is on Polk and Larkin. Easily accessible via the Market St. & Larkin St. stop on the E or the F light rail if you’re taking the SFMTA.

When: Registration opens at 8 am, and content starts at 9:00 am

Following a welcome from Rakuten COO Adrienne Down Coulson, Rent the Runway co-founder and Jetblack CEO and co-founder Jenny Fleiss will kick things off with a presentation on how successful companies balance artificial intelligence with a humanized experience to create customer loyalty. You’ll also hear from Rakuten founder and CEO Mickey Mikitani, bestselling author and tidying expert Marie Kondo, and Google’s Chief Evangelist of Brand Marketing Gopi Kallayil.

FUBU founder and Shark Tank cast member Daymond John wraps up the day’s speaker schedule at 4:30 pm. A wildly successful businessman and entrepreneur, John will share his keys to success when it comes to getting in the right mindset and following his fundamental principles to success, which he calls his Shark Points. John is well known for being a high energy speaker, and it’s a presentation you’re not going to want to miss.

From there, you’ll have a two-hour break to process what you’ve learned throughout the day, refuel and network with other professionals at our networking reception.

Once 7:30 pm rolls around and….YEAH! Eight-time Grammy Award winning recording artist Usher will take the stage for a performance you’re not going to want to miss.

In addition to a star-studded lineup of speakers and unparalleled networking opportunities, Rakuten Optimism attendees will have opportunities to take advantage of several one of a kind experiences.

Among them:

• A cocktail reception starting at 5:30 pm featuring drinks, food and tunes from DJ Bitesize.
• A networking lounge facilitating connections between you and other attendees to help you build relationships that will help you grow your business.
• The KonMari Experience will include a variety of activations including a glimpse wall, folding demos, an interactive living room and group build origami structure. To contribute, write down what you’re letting go of, fold the paper, and place it in the exhibit. Our staff will be on-site to help!
