We’re excited to announce the appointment of former HuffPost Australia CEO JJ Eastwood as Managing Director of Rakuten Marketing Asia-Pacific. The appointment comes following Anthony Capano’s move to London, where he now leads our European operations.
With an extensive career spanning leadership roles at Fairfax, News Limited and eBay, Eastwood brings 20 years of senior leadership experience to assist in further strengthening the Rakuten Marketing brand position.
“JJ’s passion for the digital landscape and ecommerce, sees him bring valuable expertise in digital product innovation, ecommerce and programmatic advertising. He has the capability to draw on these skills to drive growth and performance for his clients, and provide guidance and leadership to our teams throughout the region”, said Anthony Capano, MD Rakuten Marketing Europe.
Following the ongoing success of Rakuten Marketing throughout Asia-Pacific over recent years, Eastwood will be able to help facilitate new opportunities for clients and their customers. Through his considerable experience, Eastwood will bring forward innovative thinking and a new take on future planning to help expand the Asia-Pacific network.
